The Inventory Planning Executive is responsible for the strategic procurement and inventory management of car parts, accessories, and workshop equipment.
This position plays a key role in collaborating with all supply chain stakeholders within VRAS and VW HQ to maintain optimal inventory levels and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will coordinate closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth inbound operations and drive continuous improvements and automation initiatives using digital tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps to enhance operational efficiency.
The role and job responsibilities:
- Evaluate IDIS Purchase Requisitions daily and manage the ordering of car parts, workshop equipment to ensure timely procurement.
- Optimize inventory levels across the regional depot to achieve targeted service levels while minimizing excess and obsolete stock, with minimize operational cost.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders within VRAS and VW HQ to ensure reliable supply, optimize procurement cost, improve delivery lead time, and support long term supply chain stability.
- Convert purchase requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs), issue POs to suppliers, and actively follow up on order backlogs to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure high parts availability and achieve targeted service levels by proactively managing inventory replenishment via IDIS, monitoring stock trends and conduct outlier/sales correction in IDIS, and coordinating timely inbound deliveries with the warehouse team.
- Conduct regular inventory analysis (service level, stock depth, surplus, aging stock, and open POs), identify abnormalities, and drive improvement actions.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly inventory reports for management review.
- Actively participate as a key member of the ACE team in driving RPA (Robotic Process Automation) initiatives using Power Automate and Power Apps to automate manual processes and achieve higher operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory turnover, reduce carrying costs, and minimize obsolescence risk to support sustainability goals.
- Undertake any ad-hoc projects and assignments as required by management.

We’re looking for individuals who embody these qualities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory planning, preferably in the automotive or spare parts industry.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM module and hands-on experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Office 365, and SQL.
- Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and inventory management principles.
